Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced from Koroneiki olives grown in the Kalamata region of southern Greece. Distinct grassy-green in colour, with a robust herbaceous flavour which builds in the mouth to leave a pleasant peppery aftertaste. Ideal for salad dressings, grilled fish, white meat, sauces, pasta and vegetables.PDO stands for Protected Designation of Origin. It's a geographical indication, part of the protected geographical status legal framework defined by European Union legislation, and it covers agricultural products and foodstuffs which are produced, processed and prepared in a given geographical area using recognised know-how. The purpose of the law is to protect the reputation of the regional foods and eliminate the unfair competition and misleading of consumers by non-genuine products, which may be of inferior quality or of different flavour.
